Creation for uniquely beautiful

About me

I am from south Louisiana, outside of New Orleans. I grew up with only girls in my house, constantly playing in makeup and doing each other's hair, or having fashion shows in the kitchen. Being the youngest, I always wanted to be different, and had a more masculine interest in hobbies. My clothing style also mirrored just that, I loved to wear baggy clothes and things that my male cousins were wearing too. However, with me being in dance, I loved the costume aspect of beauty. I have always been drawn to the extreme stage makeup and hair styles, which drew me into the editorial realm. Seeing people create such exotic yet calm looks, that are each individually so unique, not only as a piece of art, but unique to that specific creator has inspired me and continues to influence the work that I do. Since the beginning of middle school, I have been coloring and styling my hair wildly, as well as doing bold makeup and wearing it out. When I moved to Arizona when I was 16, I made few friends, so I was couped up at home very often, just practicing makeup and stylinh for hours at a time on a regular basis. This is really when I realized that I wanted to make a career out of what I thought to be a hobby.

Why I'm here

I am here to make every person that comes to me not only feel beautiful, but also loved. I think being vulnerable, and allowing people to be vulnerable to you, creates a space for everyone to be fully indulged in the service being provided. I want to know their story and I want to be the person that can start a better chapter of that story. Currently, I am trying to aim my work at LGBT+ communities. As a member myself, I feel obligated to help and assist the people who don't feel comfortable with their identity. I want to make them feel and look the way that they would want the world to see them as. I want them to be able to feel comfortable with a masculine hair cut, or wearing heavy makeup that's actually noticeable. Not everyone has the most supportive people around them, and I do understand that. If someone has absolutely no one to support them and their identity, I want to be able to be the person who can at least show them support by making them feel beautiful and loved.
