I believe in cosmetology as artistically ephemeral-- something that you create for a moment in time, different each time you do it and unique to each client. When I apply makeup or slide the last pin into an updo, it is an extension of my artistic hand, and I love any opportunity to create a piece of art special for each person that sits in my chair. At the moment I am still in school, though I am already working towards my aspirations to be a hair and makeup artist on-set during photoshoots. Music, fashion, or avant-garde magazines being my ultimate goal.
