Christina Zinchenko

Hi, I'm Christina! I am currently in beauty school at Gene Juarez. I strongly believe that “Life is short. You might as well live it with really great hair." I believe that I was always meant to become a Cosmetologist! I went through the typical college route, straight out of High School, and got a corporate job. After a few months, I realized how mentally draining it was to work in a cubical and office environment. I quite that job and went on a trip to Ukraine, volunteering in Orphanages. When I came back in September, I was lost. I had no job and no plan. I decided to go work as a barista and started looking into Cosmetology. I started to ask questions and learning about the industry. I loved everything I was seeing! I originally was going to start the program in November but something stopped me. Maybe I was becoming too nervous. I kept sitting on the idea of starting. My friends and family knew that I was going to eventually start the program so they all gave me an intervention and told me to take a risk and sign up! I am so glad that I took a chance and followed my heart to becoming a cosmetologist!!
