Courtney Reid

Hey there, my name is Courtney Reid and I am currently a student at Imagine Paul Mitchell located in North Little Rock, AR. I will be graduating October 30th of this year. Before I came to Paul Mitchell, I went to the University of Arkansas for two years. When I graduated high school I had no idea what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. So I followed all my friends to the UofA and enrolled myself in Architecture-Interior Design. Let's just say that wasn't my smartest decision. Still not finding the right career for me and being unhappy in Interior Design, I found myself constantly watching hair and makeup videos. It was something I looked forward to  when I came home from class. As time goes on I was doing hair and makeup for all my friends for functions, dates, going out anything you could think of I was doing it. My friends saw how happy I was doing this so when I told them I was leaving the UofA to follow my passion of hair and makeup they supported my decision 100%! And that was the smartest decision I ever made because I am head over heals in love with my career! I already had a love for makeup but now I can't get my hands out of hair color! I've always been a people person and I love to help people. What I love most about my job is at the end of the service when my client turns around and gives me that reaction of "OH MY GOSH, I LOVE IT" that is why I do what I do. My main goal is to make my client feel confident and beautiful. It took me a little bit to finally figure out what my passion was but now that I've figured it out, I can't wait to see what the road ahead of me has in store!
