Katie Bell

Born and raised in Bremerton, WA, only by my mother. She taught me to be strong, to do what I loved, to be independent.. She is the reason behind who I am today, everything I am I learned from her. I am a mother, a wife, a daughter, and a friend to many. I’m fearless, determined, and I will succeed in whatever I do. I went to school for nursing because I had a passion to help people. I wanted people to live as long as they could, as well as they could, but soon realized my heart was too big to watch people die with no way to help except make them comfortable until they did. People would die no matter what I did to help them. I wasn’t emotionally strong enough for that. I then found I had a passion for beauty and decided I wanted to be a cosmetologist. And although it may not be helping people in a medical way, I still believe I have that ability to help people - in an emotional way. When you look beautiful and feel beautiful, it is proven to boost your emotional wellbeing.
