Abriena Michelle Awana

Hi, I’m Abriena—full-time hairstylist at DADA Salon in Oʻahu. I’ve been doing hair for almost 6 years with a focus on long-term hair and scalp health. I was led to cosmetology school not just with the interest of learning hair but also for the oppertunity to be with people and be apart of their story.

I've been a Kérastase Care Coach for over 2 years learning and sharing product knowledge with not only my clients but with my coworkers in hopes that they'd flourish in their chair with the help of this awesome brand. I started with Kerastase at the first salon I was ever at and love it so much that at the one salon I worked at that didn't have it, by the time I left there they had the full rage. I am the salon educator and find genuine content and passion in helping the new stylists grow in not only their technical skills but in their marketing and emotional intelligence needed in this career to create a strong lasting clientel.

Regardless of where I find myself in the industry so far, the root of why I do what I do stays the same; pursing my passion to build confidence in others—whether it’s through healthy hair, a trusted conversation, or helping the next stylist near me grow.
