The only limits, are self imposed ones

Hi, I’m A’daesha Davis, a licensed braider in the USVI and current cosmetology student at Paul Mitchell The School Orlando, and the founder of HairDiaries. I began professionally branding my business in 2019 during my senior year of high school, turning my passion for hair into something real, structured, and intentional.
Everything truly took off when I entered college. As more people discovered my work, my clientele and visibility continued to grow. During that time, I also applied for traditional jobs but was repeatedly turned away. Instead of seeing that as rejection, I saw it as redirection. It pushed me to fully commit to my own business and believe in what I was building.
Since then, I’ve continued to evolve, expand, and elevate my brand. I’m dedicated to becoming a well-rounded, educated, and highly skilled stylist, and I’m committed to taking HairDiaries to new heights as I grow in both experience and professionalism.
Doing hair is more than a service to me. It’s part of my purpose.

I’m on Beautista to connect, grow, and share my journey as a beauty professional who built her career from the ground up. This platform allows me to show up not just as a stylist, but as a business owner, creator, and future industry leader.
I’m here to share:
• My experience building a brand from high school to cosmetology school
• Real-life lessons from working behind the chair
• The realities of entrepreneurship in the beauty industry
• And the evolution of becoming a licensed cosmetologist
Beautista gives me the space to document my growth, connect with other professionals, and continue building a career rooted in passion, resilience, and purpose.
