Ahsiana Thomas

My name is Ahsiana Thomas and I am currently a full time student at The Elaine Sterling institue in Atlanta GA.

I am Bahamian from Miami, FL born and raised, doing hair on and off throughout middle school and high school until moving to Atlanta in 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic to be quarantined with my family.

Covid was rough for me having to take off time from the world, not knowing what to do with myself since I wasn't planning to go to college, Growing up, I had always been a theatre kid so since I was unable to pursue this due to the restrictions for the years to come, and that halt on the world, it put me in a foggy place mentally as far my career choice and where I wanted to go with it. 

After being in the mundane work force of different jobs and avenues such as pharmacy technician, Receptionist, and also being in the Hospitality field, I came to the point where I thought I'd focus on something I know best naturally and that is beauty. Doing hair, and makeup has been a natural talent of mine for years, so in October 2023 I made the decision to move forward in furthering my education in it to understand the fundamentals and professionalism involved.

I chose this road of obtaining my Master Cosmetologist License to MASTER my craft, opening roads that will help me to grow and excel in my career, learning to become and all around professional by gaining the knowledge in detail of what it takes in the salon and also behind the scenes to maintain that repour with clients and fellow cosmetologists.

I specialize right now in natural hair services, such as braids, blow outs, silk presses, and sew ins. My focus coming into this to implement the actual care side of the hair services to revitalize, maintain, and aid in the health and growth of the hair of my clients

I'm very excited to achieve this goal of graduating obtaining, my Master Cosmetologist license, and building and boosting my clientele to finally begin my transition into adult hood with my career. To reach this goal and excel beyond I plan to be professional, creative and consistent in my work and skill building to be sure that my name and face is reputable in the Beauty and Wellness community.
