AJ Glessner

Hi there! I'm AJ and I'm a student at Paul Mitchell the School- Cleveland. I'm not usually the loudest person in the room but I come out of my shell with the opportunity to be creative. As an introverted person, I found empowerment from a young age in expressing myself through my hair, makeup, and nails. This passion for creating new versions of myself evolved into a love for the artistry and craft of so many parts of the beauty industry. Now, I love helping people see their own vision for their personal style come to life. My goal after graduating is to build a career in the beauty industry that is centered on growth. Not just hair growth, but personal growth, confidence, and skills behind the chair. I also really enjoying teaching others, and witnessing growth in them as well. 

In the past year at cosmetology school I've gotten to do things I never thought I would, and my love for hair, skin, and nail transformation has only deepened. My major interests are hair color, hair cutting (long and short) and nail art, but I haven't closed myself off to any part of the industry; I want to be like a sponge! I would love to relocate in the near future and experience a new environment, and I would like to find an employer who values education, honesty, empathy, and no-judgement.
