Alex Lor

Hello, my name is Alex King Lor. I currently live in the suburbs of Kansas City however I was born in Denver, Colorado and lived a good portion of my childhood in California. Usually the question, "where are you from?" finds me and for the longest time I never knew how to answer it. As I've grown up, I've learned to accept all 3 as my home. So now, whenever that question comes up, I have choices to choose from.

I am a middle child of 5; I have an older brother and sister as well as 2 younger brothers. Outside of my intermediate family, I live close to my father's side with his 8 brothers and 4 sisters. I won't count them all (it's hard to keep track of) but I have 40+ cousins on my father's side alone. I've grown up with my large family and am close with my cousins around my age.

In high school, a majority of my time went into my school's nationally known speech and debate team. I was a member all 4 years of high school and acquired over 1000 NSDA points. I competed in over a hundred tournaments as well as qualifying and attending the 2018 National Speech and Debate tournament hosted in Fort Luaderdale, Florida. Although I never had the opportunity to continue speech and debate in college (I never attended college), I've learned countless of life lessons and communication skills that have shaped who I am today.
