About me:I am a twenty two year old stylist looking to expand my knowledge and skill in the hair industry. I differentiate in formal styles, color, photography, customer service, and design. I joined this industry for its plethora of science, beauty, and its niche in serving others. My Experience:I received my Associate of Arts at the age of eighteen from CNCC in 2016. Through college, I gained technical skills, concise writing abilities, and developed a deadline oriented conscience. Over my six years of food and beverage experience, I have and continue to develop strong hospitality and communication skills. Having these skills has enabled me to provide viable service and care for my clients as a stylist. In August of 2019, I started my first job in the hair industry at The Drybar, as a stylist. Working there has provided education on different hair textures, densities, extension methods and how to utilize a wide array of styling products to achieve a specific style, in a timely manner. January 23rd, 2020, I graduated cosmetology school at Penrose Academy. Penrose taught me the basics of hair and how to provide a clean environment for my clients safety. I learned how to promote my business and retain client relationships. On February 8th, 2019, I received the incredible opportunity to assist Kaylee, the creator of The Kopper Blonde. Assisting her, I will learn color, cut, and style techniques beyond my current ability. Once I take my state board exams, I will be renting her space on her off days to sustain my current and future clientele. The rest of this bio is directed for Ammon Carver, towards his mentorship opportunity. I could not fit what I wanted to say into a forty five second clip, so I decided to add this to my bio for viewing purposes...When I try to answer the question “Why would this mentorship be life changing?” I can’t find the words. I have flashbacks to when I met Ammon three weeks ago. I was in awe of how he performed, attached to his background story, and amazed by the fact that he wanted to literally teach us. I saw someone that I wanted to be like. Actually, I was so inspired by his hybrid studio in NY, that I ordered a backdrop photo stand on Amazon the next week, promoted myself on Instagram for models, and scheduled a photo shoot to create a series of editorial looks, created by me. I am already applying his concepts to my career. The reason why, is that I believe that his vision is unique and his sense of business is uncommon. If I were to join him in L.A., I would utilize every piece of advice that was given to me. So Ammon, (if it's you reading this) I hope that I left a lasting impression with you in Long Beach, and that you’d like to invest into my future by choosing me to join you in California next month. (I promise I'll be taking notes!) Thank you.
