Amanda Marin

Hello, my name is Amanda Marin, I am from New Jersey and I have been a licensed cosmetologist for almost 10 years. In 2010 I decided to stop going to community college because I genuinely felt that it was not the right environment for me. I was beginning to feel as if it were a waste of my time and money. After a few weeks of feeling lost, a friend suggested that I check out an open house at a local cosmetology school. Hair, makeup, and fashion have always been a passion of mine. I have always been the girl who did all her friends and family’s hair and makeup for special occasions. After some thought, I took a chance and went to the open house. I started cosmetology school in 2010, which I excelled in and graduated from. Capri Institute gave me the foundation, tools, and practice that allowed me to feel confident in starting a new career in the hair industry. After spending years working in the salon industry as an assistant and as a hairstylist I became very passionate about making people feel beautiful. I love helping people see the beauty in themselves that they may have not seen before. It’s incredible how a great haircut and color can make someone feel like a different person. The different connections I make with my clients are important to me, as well as continuing my education, and helping my clients look and feel their best!
