Amanda McCraw

Hello, I'm Amanda, it's nice to meet you. I am an aspiring cosmetologist and second generation at that, but I did not always see this career for myself. Like many others I dreamed of art and beauty in my future career, something where I could be creative and hands on. I also wanted to change lives. So what did I do? I went off to college. One semester later I was home once again, because I knew that it was not that place I was meant to be. I began working at the local Home Depot and to my surprise that changed my life. I loved helping people and I knew that I loved working with my hands. My parents started encouraging me to go to beauty school and be a cosmetologist. I did not want to follow in anyone's footsteps being the independent person I am, but slowly I started to recognize how well the proffesion matched me. My dreams and desires all seemed to go swimmingly with this career choice. Before I knew it I had jumped in, and now here I am on the journey, about to graduate beauty school and loving it!
