Amber Vickers

I’m a Michigan-based hairstylist specializing in customized color, dimensional blonding, and modern, lived-in hair that looks elevated without feeling overdone. I currently work at Platinum House Salon, where I focus on creating intentional, tailored results that prioritize both the look and the long-term health of the hair.
My experience goes beyond the chair. I’ve worked as an assistant, contributed to editorial projects, and been part of runway, theater, and music video productions. Those environments taught me how to move with purpose, adapt quickly, and execute a vision under pressure. They’re also what pushed me to think bigger about where this career can go.
I’ve invested heavily in my education and growth, including opportunities like Beacon and other advanced learning experiences. While I don’t use social media as my main platform for education, I’m constantly educating my clients and collaborating with other stylists behind the scenes. I believe knowledge should be shared in real time, in the work, not just posted.
My values are rooted in intention, integrity, and evolution. I care about doing things the right way, not the fast way. That means protecting the hair, being honest about what’s achievable, and creating results that actually fit the person wearing them. As the industry continues shifting toward more detailed, health-focused services, I’m committed to evolving with it and staying ahead through continuous learning.
Looking forward, my goal is to expand deeper into hair and makeup, session styling, and creative work across editorial and on-set environments. I want to be part of the spaces where concepts come to life, where hair and makeup help tell a story, not just complete a service. At the same time, I’m building a career behind the chair that supports that bigger vision.
At the core of everything I do is the intention to create work that feels elevated, thoughtful, and aligned, whether it’s for a client in my chair or a full creative production.
