Amy Simpson

Hello! My name is Amy Simpson. I am originally from Pennsylvania, and I am number seven in a family of eight children. In 2013 my family and I moved to Giles County, Virginia, but I have settled now in Blacksburg, Virginia.

I am a Future Professional, currently enrolled at Paul Mitchell The School of Roanoke.

I started attending Paul Mitchell on March 15th of this year. Currently in the Adaptive Stage, I have recently been invited to audition for Phase 2.

I am a three-day student, which means I'm at the school 9:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

I have enjoyed the rigorous pace of the classes that have taught me many skills so far. I look forward to learning more and discovering what I will want to specialize in one day. In the meantime, I enjoy being challenged and encouraged to excel.

I hope to acquire a position in a salon once I have finished school, but my end goal is to have my own business.

Fun Fact: I've danced for nine years! And now I am a dance teacher! The challenges of show preparation in the areas of hair styling, stage makeup, and costuming have given me many skills that compliment what I am learning at Paul Mitchell.

I have two dreams: One is to travel while doing hair and makeup so that I can do two things I love at one. I am also interested in becoming a hair and makeup stylist in the entertainment industry.
