About me

Hello! I’m Angelique Huffman

A newly licensed cosmetologist with a background in corporate banking and mortgage services. During my training at the Salon Professional School of Cosmetology, one of the most meaningful experiences I had was providing hair services to a working individual experiencing housing instability. That moment strengthened my professionalism, empathy, and commitment to offering consistent, respectful care to every client.

While my main emphasis has been on hair, I'm eager to develop my abilities in makeup, skin care, and nail services as I continue building a solid technical foundation in cutting and coloring.

I’ve completed multiple product knowledge classes through SalonCentric and Beautista, including BIOLAGE – Essential Scalp Certification, Redken Haircare Collection, L’Oréal Professionnel Metal Detox Certification, Matrix Blonding for All, and Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair. These classes have helped me deepen my understanding of healthy hair care and the importance of informed product use.

Why I'm here

I joined Beautista while I was in cosmetology school, after learning about it during a product knowledge class and realizing it could support my next steps. I’m looking for an education‑focused salon where I can grow as an assistant, build strong technical skills, and learn from experienced professionals.

My interest in beauty started early because it was simply how I grew up. Beauty treatments, hair care, manicures, and pedicures were all part of my youth, especially with a mom who was a nail professional and with me always keeping my own hair well‑groomed. Even in my 20s, when I became curious about makeup personally, it was all evidence of an identity being built.

I realized this industry was for me after experiencing a downturn in the quality of services performed on my own hair. What were once conveniences became inconveniences, and I found myself wanting the level of care, consistency, and professionalism I wasn’t receiving. That shift made me want to be part of the solution and inspired me to pursue cosmetology.

Supporting my clients, meeting their beauty needs, and helping them reach new levels is what drives me. Enhancing what they naturally have is the quality I want every client to experience.
