Hi my name is Angie. I am a career Army Soldier born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a child, I was also into hair. My first love for styling was when my Grandmother rolled my hair with pieces of brown paperbags. I was “Shirly temple”. That was amazing to see the texture and formation of my hair change with just using torn paper. From that point on, I was the stylist for my Grandmother, Mother, Sister, other family members and school friends starting in middle school to college and yes even throughout deployments while serving in the military. Throughout my 20 years serving in the Army, I have also loved and volunteered to style all textures of hair. I love to see woman or man whether in uniform or not looking his or her best with great hair. After completing my degree in business adminstration and coming up on my 20th year in the military, I knew that I didn’t want to work for anyone but myself. I know I love style hair. So I decided to go for something I love cosmetology license. Once I graduate and achieve my license, I plan to be a hair stylist part time until I retire from the Army. While doing both of what I enjoy, I plan to have my own shop before I retire for the military.
