Anjenette (Ella) Brown

“Ella,” as she’s affectionately and professionally known, is an alumna of Paul Mitchell the School East Bay, but her story doesn’t start there!

Ella’s journey began at an early age, observing her grandfather and two uncles, all masters in the barber and cosmetology industry.

As she honed her skills over the years, Ella focused on clipper and short haircuts for men, women, and children. Her precision cuts earned her the nickname “Ella Scissorhands.” As her expertise grew, so did her passion for re-growing and treating various types of alopecia, leading her to become an AMCA Certified Trichologist. In this role, Ella not only treats hair and scalp issues but also educates her clients on maintaining their healthy hair and scalps. Her exceptional results have earned her a reputation for having a “Green Thumb,” along with her discretion and professional, gentle chairside manner.

In the last four years, Ella has maintained a great passion for the industry, focusing on education. She began that journey by returning to her alma mater, Paul Mitchell the School East Bay, to begin her as a Cosmetology Instructor. Ella’s ultimate goal is to create and educate all those she crosses paths with on how they too can have fun with healthy hair.
