My name is April Funkhouser and I have been a student at Elite Academy of Hair Design in Bridgeport, OH for the past year in their cosmetology program. I am 19 years old and am looking to pursue a career as a stylist after graduating and receiving my cosmetology license.

Why I'm here
I enrolled in cosmetology school a year after graduating from high school. Previous to my enrollment, I was set to attend my local community college in the human biology program. Weeks before I was supposed to start, I knew I wouldn't truly be happy with spending years pursuing a college degree. I dropped out at the last moment and began looking into my true dream, cosmetology school. A year later I have nearly completed my training in cosmetology school and have fallen in love with working with hair and helping clients look and feel their absolute best.
