I’m Ash Fortis, founder of XO Hair Lab, platform artist, author, and educator with 16+ years in the beauty industry. I helped co-create and build Pulp Riot, shaping education and community within the professional color world, and authored Hair to Dye For, a book celebrating creativity and diversity in hair artistry.

As an educator, I’m passionate about blending technical mastery with artistry, mentoring stylists to not only refine their craft but also grow their confidence, professionalism, and business. From pioneering trends like Hologram Hair and Hair Marbling to guiding stylists through client experience and salon success, my mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of beauty professionals to lead with resilience, innovation, and heart.
