Ashlie Miller

Hi! I am Ashlie... a Houston based salon owner and Redken Artist. I have spent nearly two decades behind the chair, and throughout that journey, Redken has played a defining role in who I have become, both as an artist and leader. 

Honestly, Cosmetology was not the plan. I went to college with one goal, become a cardiovascular surgeon. At the end of my sophomore year, I had a dream that was clear as day of someone telling me I should withdraw from college and pursue cosmetology. So, I did. To many, that was a bizarre and uncharacteristic decision of me but, it was the best decision I made. 

I started my cosmetology career without a clear direction and took the "fake it 'til you make it" route. But, the moment I stepped into my first Redken Exchange class in 2008, something clicked. The structure, the science, the community, it felt like home. 

Since then, I have built a career and business grounded in education. Prism Salon was founded with the belief that luxury and kindness can coexist and that education is the bridge between confidence and creativity.

When I am not behind the chair, running a business, or facilitating, you will find spending time with my husband, daughter, and fur baby, me planning my next vacation, or learning a new creative outlet (my latest is cake-pops).
