About me
Hi-ya!! I'm a student at PCI Academy in Ames and live in Ankeny. I started Cosmo school in January of 2023 and will graduate in March of 2024. I have always had an interest in the beauty industry after seeing so many beauty gurus on youtube in middle school which led me to love painting nails and doing nail designs. After getting into high school I found a love for doing makeup. I have worked in retail at Target since May of 2019 in the clothing department and in October of 2021 I transferred over to the Beauty department and that's when I started really getting into haircare and skincare. That is when I knew I needed to enter the cosmetology world professionally.

Why I'm here
Initially I started college at Iowa State University. After attending school there for 1.5 years and changing my major 4 times I decided I would benefit from tranferring to Des Moines Area Community College to really think about what my career was going to be. That is when I came back to the idea of cosmetology. I wanted to go to cosmetology school straight out of high school but my parents were not too excited about that. They told me I could totally do that only after I get a bachelors degree. When I came back to them to talk about my future they were wrmed up to the idea of it considering they could see how unappy I was with traditional school and how interested I was in my job at the time. That is when they gave me the green light and were going to emotionally support me in school.
