Autumn Wonsey is a passionate professional in the beauty industry, whose love for all things beauty began at a young age. With a keen interest in hairstyling and makeup, Autumn's journey into the world of cosmetology started after graduating from high school in 2014 when she enrolled at the prestigious Douglas J Aveda Institute.

After obtaining her cosmetology license in 2015, Autumn began her career at Aveda, where she honed her skills and gained valuable experience. Her talent and dedication led her to embark on an exciting opportunity working at the renowned Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island for four consecutive summers. There, Autumn specialized in bridal hair and makeup, as well as providing a range of services including facials and other beauty treatments.

In addition to her work at the Grand Hotel, Autumn took her passion for bridal beauty to new heights by establishing her own bridal makeup and hair business. As the owner of this thriving enterprise, Autumn traveled all over Michigan, bringing her expertise and artistry to countless brides on their special day. With her exceptional skills and attention to detail, she created stunning looks that left brides feeling confident and beautiful.

Throughout her career, Autumn has had the chance to explore various avenues within the beauty industry, working in different settings such as hourly, commission-based, and as a booth renter. This diverse experience has given her valuable insights, enabling her to guide and assist students in making informed decisions about their career paths.

In 2020, Autumn expanded her horizons by acquiring her cosmetology instructors license from Moored Beauty Schools. As an instructor, she found immense joy in sharing her knowledge and passion with aspiring cosmetology students. Her teaching style is characterized by a fun and interactive approach, incorporating engaging activities, dance parties, and creative projects into the classroom, all while ensuring a strong foundation in the fundamentals of cosmetology.

Autumn's dedication to her craft, combined with her ability to inspire and motivate her students, sets her apart as a remarkable educator and beauty professional. Whether she is creating stunning looks for clients, traveling across Michigan for on-site weddings, or empowering the next generation of cosmetologists, Autumn's enthusiasm and commitment shine through, making her a valuable asset to the beauty industry.
