Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Minneapolis is the original Aveda Institute, founded in 1982 in a beautifully restored 1926 Gothic Revival landmark, the Cataract Lodge. Located in Northeast Minneapolis near the University of Minnesota, we offer hands-on programs in Cosmetology, Esthiology, Advanced Practice Esthiology, and Massage Therapy — all using Aveda's signature plant-based products. Our wellness-focused approach blends ancient beauty rituals with modern techniques, preparing students for licensure and thriving careers. With an 85.7% graduation rate, 94% licensure rate, and distinguished alumni including Jonathan Van Ness and David Wagner, we are proud to be one of the nation's leading beauty schools.
