Growing up, I always felt like an outcast, a square peg in a world full of round holes. No matter where I went or what I did, I never quite fit in. My thoughts and feelings seemed alien to those around me, and I often found myself retreating into my own world. In that world, beauty became my sanctuary. It was the only thing I knew for sure I could do. The art of makeup, the science of skincare—these were the tools I used to craft a version of myself that felt beautiful, even when I felt anything but.

Even on my darkest days, when the weight of the world seemed too much to bear, I would sit at my vanity and make myself up, transforming my reflection into a version of myself that seemed invincible. Somehow, this ritual always made me feel just a little bit better. It was as if the act of creating beauty on the outside could soothe the turmoil inside. It was my way of alchemizing my inner anguish into outer radiance.

I searched high and low for my purpose, dabbling in countless pursuits. I tried my hand at many things, from sports to academics to various hobbies, but nothing ever felt quite right. Each endeavor left me feeling empty, like I was wearing a costume that didn’t fit. I was never able to stick with anything because it didn’t feel like it was for me on a deep, soulful level.

This world, with its myriad expectations and judgments, made me believe that a career in beauty was a vain and shallow pursuit. It told me that focusing on appearance was frivolous, that true worth lay in more 'serious' professions. I was led to believe that my passion for beauty was superficial, a gloss over the deeper issues at play.

But even when I didn’t know myself, at least I knew what looked good on me. I knew how to enhance my features, to highlight the beauty that others might overlook. This knowledge gave me a sense of control and certainty in an otherwise chaotic existence. It was a small but significant comfort.

What I’ve come to understand is that protecting and embodying beauty is not any less important than saving a life. Beauty has the power to heal, to uplift, to bring joy in ways that are profoundly impactful. It’s not just about looking good; it’s about feeling good, about finding light in the darkest of times. Beauty is a form of self-care, a way to nurture the soul and bolster the spirit.

As I stand on the threshold of a career as an Esthetician, I am determined to leave the world in a better state than I found it. Through corrective skincare, anti-aging treatments, and holistic approaches, I aim to help others discover the transformative power of beauty. I want to show that taking care of oneself is not vanity—it’s a vital act of self-love and preservation. In a world that often feels harsh and unkind, beauty is a balm, and I am proud to dedicate my life to its pursuit.
