Hello! My name is Baylee Schmieder, and I have been in this industry coming up on two years. When i decided to become a hairstylist, i was looking for where my alternative soul belonged. I am from a small southern town and never quite fit in with my fashion, makeup, and hair. I was taking a gap year when my father told me to pursue where my heart belonged; the beauty industry. I decided to start my journey in an institution rather than under a salon. I enrolled into the Aveda Institute of Atlanta, where i adored the educators and the products themselves. My flame for the industry grew into a roaring fire when i got the pleasure of getting to experience fashion shows, glamorous makeup, and the hairs transformations that made my heart burst. My first love was color, it was so natural to me and came with so much ease. I even said i wouldn't cut hair after i got out of cosmo school because it didn't come as natural and seemed like such a challenge i wasn't ready for. Now, my clientele mainly consists of males and women with short hair. All cuts. Its my bread and butter and i couldn't imagine not cutting the detailed tight fades, or giving the woman who's afraid someone won't like her hair short, the confidence after a rocking pixie. The changes are something i love and crave at this point. I still love color and have a big clientele for it, but my cuts, oh that's where my heart lies now. I believe becoming apart of an education group at such a young start in this career is somewhat of an advantage. I still have such an intense fire for this industry that i never want to stop growing and modeling myself into the absolute best hair artist i can become. i believe that this is the career i was born for and plan to rock it out until my fingers wont allow, and knees can't hang. I am Baylee, the hairstylist, cosmetologist, (soon to be) barber, and anything else this industry will allow.
