Salon Benders was never just a salon — it was a sanctuary for transformation, truth-telling, and queer beauty in Long Beach. Founded by Jessie Santiago, the space became a beloved community hub where style met self-expression and healing. Though the physical salon has closed, its spirit lives on through Jessie's private practice as The Subliminal Stylist — a licensed cosmetologist and certified clinical hypnotherapist who blends subconscious healing, hypnotherapy, and ritual hair sessions to support inner shifts and aligned self-expression. The Salon Benders website now serves as a tribute to the collective of artists, healers, and collaborators who helped shape this extraordinary community, continuing to connect people with inclusive, intentional care.
