Bethany Northcott

Orginally from Arizona, I am a summertime and sunshine kind of gal. I always say people are my business, hair is my medium. I’m loud and outgoing, but also love getting real and connecting with guests and coworkers alike. After struggling with insecurities throughout high school, I learned a bit about beauty and saw the power in simply feeling confident and knew I had to be a part of spreading that feeling to others. I went to a career fair, signed up for Cosmetology School, and never looked back.

At the end of the day, education is my cornerstone. Beginning in cosmetology school, I was lucky enough to assist a stylist and educator with 30+ years experience. After school, I would jet over to her salon and continued my education hands on, one on one. Upon graduation, I began my career at the largest salon in America at the time (Dolce Salon and Spa in Phoenix, Arizona) because of their commitment to education and growth. I completed their assistant program, assisting different stylists every 5 weeks for a year to learn many different styles and techniques. Once on the floor myself, I eventually attained my own assistants and began teaching classes and workshops. After many years behind the chair, a serious injury led me to step away from the industry for a couple of years, where I ended up pursuing a degree in Film Studies while working at a major coffee chain. While film was a fun creative outlet, my passion for people and education never died and before I knew it, I became a part of the coffee shop’s leadership and training team, traveling around the country to train new employees.

But—my love for hair remained and I missed it dearly, so I learned ways to take care of my body so that I could get back to what I love. Now in Colorado Springs, I booth rent at the cutest little boutique salon. I specialize in dimensional color and am also a Certified Color Analyst, allowing me to customize hair color to a clients unique coloring as well as empower them in other aspects of beauty. I’m grateful to be learning many different sides to the industry and believe all my adventures have molded me into the stylist and person I am today.
