Brandy Bounds

My name is Brandy Bounds and I am currently a student at Hair Lab Detroit Barber School. I chose to enter the Beauty Industry when my mother was in need of beauty interventions as a way to combat the ravages of chemotherapy. Out of that experience grew a love for utilizing the beauty industry to help heal and overcome the obstracles we face in everday life. I want to use the beauty industry to not only change appearances, but change lives.

In school I have learned that boundaries only exist if you let them; and that fear will exist but it doesn't have to stop you. I am stronger today because of the struggles that I have endured. I want to help my clients understand what the industry has taught me; what you are going through does not have to define you and in this chair you can become anyone you want to be. The devastation of where you are is only a barrier if you allow it. “It’s safe to say that growth is an uncomfortable process, but pain is a necessary investment for progress”. The Beauty Industry can change the way you see the day, so allow me to become your day-maker!
