Brieanna Bowman

My name is Brieanna I am obsessed with hair.

For as long as I can remember, I have loved hair. When I was 7 years old I remember being asked what I wanted to be when I grew up and I always answered "hair dresser!" Life however, had different plans.

After graduating high school I left my home state of Maryland for the Long Star state of Texas to attend college. After graduating and working in the corporate world I was really unsastified. During the pandemic I thought long and hard about what I wanted out of life and the type of work that would fulfill me.

I started thinking of ways I could make money and become my own boss. After brainstorming, it hit me. I decided to start a hair business, Curly Gurl Hair Co. I always loved wearing hair extensions and wigs so I could think of no better business to get into.

Once I started down that path, I began to crave more knowledge about hair. I want to be able to expand my business into custom wig offerings and realized I did not have the skill set to offer it. It then dawned on me that I could to comestology school to gain those skills. Suddenly the dreams of my 7 year old self we're coming true. 

Although life took me down a different path, I have found myself back to the journey to my dreams.
