I am currently a student at PMTS Columbus, returning to my home in the hair industry after 6 years of working in IT. I grew up in a salon in Atlanta, and always imagined myself working with people the same way my grandmother did. I love doing vivids, hair cuts of any kind, and clipper cuts. I'm also having fun on my learning journey with blowouts and blonding, and I'm working towards getting a certification in extensions.
Bridal and event hair are where I'm really able to shine; with my background in corporate offices and technology, I am good at sticking to tight deadlines, maintaining an organized space, and working with many different types of personalities in a warm and professional manner.

While beauty has always been something I wanted to be involved in, I found out in high school that I had a knack for computers. Four years of college, one year working at Walt Disney World, and six years of computers later, I realized that although I was good at was I was doing, it wasn't filling my cup in the way I thought it would.
I wanted to work in a trade, and having grown up in my grandmother's salon, I knew exactly what trade I wanted to work in. While leaving behind the comfort of the job I had was hard, I knew that I could be doing more to help people, even if it was just one head at a time. I chose cosmetology because I want to help people feel as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside.
