Cameron Smith

My name is Cameron Smith. I'm 20 years old and I am currently a senior student in the new barbering program at Elaine Sterling Institute. I was born in Hope, Arkansas but we moved around the country a lot and now I'm here in Atlanta, Georgia and I've currently been here for 6 years. When I was in high school, I did a social media and marketing internship for Keller Williams Realty which has help me learn a lot about the market and putting your money in the right places I didn't know about. My current profession is I work in the film industry which I've been doing for almost 2 years. I was recently going to college at Kennesaw State University and I realized that it wasn't for me, so I decided to go to barber school. I chose this path because I always grew up in a hair salon or a barber shop because majority of my family either cut or did hair. It was very scary because it was something new that I never did before. I was always told that college is the best way to succeed but that's not always the case. I've seen a lot of people's dreams come true because they decided to take a risk and give it their all in the hair industry. Ever since I decided to step out and take a chance it has been amazing and I want to continue to strive to be one of the greatest to do it in the industry.
