Carmen Bruning

I chose to get into the hair industry very impulsively. I was originally going to college to become an Elementary teacher, but the longer I was in school, the more I could tell it wasn't for me. One day my sister, (who famously loves being platinum blonde) asked me to help her dye the underside of her hair red and orange. I said yes, and surprisingly had a lot of fun doing it, and the results blew me away. Her hair looked like the bright, vibrant fire, and I fell in love with the idea of doing hair! Now, growing up I was a huge tomboy, I didn't know anything about makeup, hair, styling, or fashion. So coming into this industry completely blind was a huge challenge for me, and I'm super proud of how far I've come!
