About me
Hello! I'm Carmen. I am an upbeat, pun-loving human who has been in the hair world since 2008. I started at Tennessee School of Beauty to get my Cosmetology License + went back to them in 2017 to get my Instructor's License.
I started my career in a few different salons until I ultimately opened Salon Mercury in 2019! We are just a whole group of fun weird folks who love to make people L O V E the way they look and feel.
I've also been a Matrix Artist since 2022. I cannot stress how much I love teaching, especially product knowledge. It really lets my inner nerd flourish + I have found ways to make sure stylists in all career stages can connect to the material. You can mainly find my digital classes here on Beautista, but if you would like for me to come to your salon I would love to!

I love speaking with other salon owners and professionals to see their perspective on how to continuously better the industry + our skills behind the chair.
Beauty school students + fresh graduates are our future in the business!! They are so excited and can be a breath of fresh air for me. I love hearing about what the schools are teaching, what the focus of new graduates are, + how to better adjust my teaching style both in and outside of the salon to keep up with them!
