Cassandra McEntire

Hello!!I am Cassandra McEntire and I have 5 Maine coons.  Yes- you read that right, FIVE big fluff balls that are the love of my life. I have an Instagram for them, that's how much I love them.I am originally from Hawaii, and am Hawaiian. I moved to San Diego California when I was 8 years old and have been in Seattle for the last 5 years. My nickname is Casper because I'm so damn pale (lol), and friendly. When I was 14-ish, I (like most teenagers) cherished my hair. It was long, wavy, extremely frizzy and needed all the conditioner in the world. My passion for hair started because I went to get a trim, and I ended up with hair above my shoulders. HOW on earth that possibly happened, I had no idea. However, because of that moment, I started to cut my own hair, then my friends hair and before I knew it, my friends would only let me cut their hair. I started to color my own hair, and my friends hair-  and thus, my passion began. I was actually in London when I saw a Toni & Guy Salon, and it was so out of place from all the ornate buildings. I was immediately pulled in. As a person who has always been "out of the box" it felt right going to hair school and chose Toni & Guy as my academy. From the depths of my soul, I have always been an artist. I love to paint, draw, do photography, cook, sculpt, make jewelry--pretty much anything artsy. With that being said, being able to apply that to hair has been life changing. Having clients trust you with their hair is such an honor and when they light up and feel beautiful from the inside out-- is what drives me as a stylist. I love educating. Giving back knowledge is a great way to really hone your craft. Seeing the gears click in an apprentice's mind is incredibly rewarding, and I love being questioned and learning from them as well.There is no such thing as mastering hair. There is always something to learn and a new technique to try, and I thrive off of that. Continuing education is a great way to fuel my passion for hair. All-in-all, I am a introverted people person, but have a big heart. I value kindness and integrity, and welcome growth. I also am extremely nerdy, and proud of it. I love board games, video games, books, anime, and manga.So who is Cassandra?A nerdy artist (in all forms), with a big heart, who gets shit done, and loves her maine coons.
