About me
My name is Chalene Ibarra, I prefer to go by Chay. I am a wife and a mother to four beautiful children. I am passionate about making people feel beautiful and worthy in their own skin. I want to do whatever I can to bring about change in this world and I believe that I can do my part by helping people love themselves again. I have always had this passion in my heart and soul to please everyone around me, to make people feel loved and important. That passion grew immensly when I had children because I strive to raise them to spread love and positivity to everyone as well. When thinking about my lifelong career path, it was an easy decision to make when I decided to become a cosmotologist. It combines my passion with my love for art and I could not be more excited to go to work every day doing a job that I love!

I have a burning passion for this industry. I strive to make a positive impact on as many people as I can and I believe this career will give me the platform to do so. Aveda Institute Columbus nominated me to participate in the photo shoot for the student stylist of the year category for NAHA. That opportunity was the greatest experience of my career so far and the best way to end out my time at Aveda. Now that I’ve done work like this I can’t help but want to continue to dive deeper into the editorial world. It was so amazing to just be around other stylist that share the same burning passion as I do!
