Charae Shelton

I am currently a cosmetology student at Paul Mitchell the School. I am also a makeup artist and entrepreneur. I have a beauty business named Upscale Boutique which I started in 2020 selling wigs, eyelashes and accessories. As my business slowly grew, I decided to come to school for my license and I am so happy I did. 

I am a traveling makeup artist. I absolutely love doing it. I've participated in the hair and makeup team for multiple fashion shows around Milwaukee over the past year. I also weave, wigs, and extensions. I've paid for and taken a lace laying classes so I can also service the customers who buy my wig units. 

For me, the beauty industry allows you to express yourself whether you're the artist or the client. I really believe there is healing through our works because the clients or models are just canvases who already has all the beautiful features that are enhanced through hairstyling or makeup artistry. We all know when you look good, you feel good!
