About me
I’m Chayika Vazquez, a Connecticut-licensed hairdresser/cosmetologist and certified makeup artist with more than 25 years of experience in the beauty industry. As the founder of Bèl Atis Beauty, my work is rooted in artistry, versatility, and a genuine passion for helping people feel confident in how they present themselves to the world.
As a multi-texture hair specialist, I work confidently across a wide range of hair types, textures, and styles—from natural curls and locs to protective styling, color, silk presses, bridal and special-event looks. My artistry also extends beyond the salon into runway, editorial, film, production, and community-based beauty work.
I believe great beauty artistry is about more than creating a beautiful finished look. It requires understanding the individual, honoring their natural features and texture, and having the technical skill and creative vision to bring an idea to life.
Throughout my career, I’ve had opportunities to bring my artistry backstage at New York Fashion Week, contribute hair and makeup to film productions, collaborate on fashion and creative projects, provide beauty services for community initiatives, and work with clients during some of their most meaningful moments.
Whether I’m behind the chair, backstage, on set, or working alongside another creative team, I bring professionalism, adaptability, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit to every project.

My purpose is to use my artistry to help people feel seen, confident, and beautiful while continuing to challenge myself creatively beyond the traditional salon space.
From behind the chair to bridal, backstage, runway, editorial, film, and production, I’m here to create, collaborate, and bring a vision to life. I believe every texture tells a story, every face is a unique canvas, and there should be no limits on where creativity can take you.
