I am a current cosmetology student, completing my program at the Ogle Arlington campus. I'm hopeful and working to graduate before Janurary 2023. I've always heard "beauty is pain" growing up, which is a stigma I want to change. Beauty is a standard set in ones self, it is a caution and avoidance of what is percieved as inadequate. Beauty is natural and painless, enhancements and judgment, that is what can be painful at times. I strive to help my clients and audience understand how painless beauty enhacements can be while educating them on how to maintain these standards.
I began doing my own hair in middle school, my mother was a braider on the side but never really went anywhere with it because of her higher education studies. I began installing and styling my own extensions in high school and coloring my own hair. I also began to do small things to others hair, like 2 strand twists and safetly installed quickweaves. I finally began coloring others hair and braiding in college. I was asked by one guy to dye his hair after he saw what I did to my own and the rest is history.
