Work hard and don’t give up

Cynthia Creager and I am a future professional cosmetologist. I have always had niche for all things beauty so I decided to pick a career that I can specialize in that and run with it. I have one year experience do to being in school, but one thing I take pride in is I love learning new things and taking on new challenges. While being in school I have worked hard to set myself apart from my fellow peers and pushed myself in ways to be a better artist. I have competed in 2 hair competitions in the color category. I also have competed in one hair show competing in the color artist category. One of those competitions was the first 5 weeks of be being in school. While being in school I have found a passion for color artist, as well as hair styles. I have also joined 2 teams artistic team, and spirit team. Those are just some ways I have shown my leadership skills. Being on those teams I have also taken on important roles such as president of the artistic team and secretary of the spirit team. I do have experience with all types of clients and hair types. I take pride in knowing all is welcome in my chair. I see each guest as a new challenge. I have done perms, facials, waxing, all kinds of color applications, some hair cuts men, women, and children, hair styling wet and thermal, silk presses. Apart from my love of cosmetology I am also a mom of 4 little boys as well as a wife.

My kids are really what gave me the push to be here. I have two special needs children one autistic and one with severe complications. Taking my kiddos to get their hair done was impossible, we would always get turned away with a statement like they are to much of a liability for us to cut their hair I am sorry. With them being boys they need hair cuts every two weeks. But the salon for myself became my safe haven my escape from the real world. When I left the salon it made me feel whole it made feel like all my problems could just melt away. So I want to be able to provide those things to my customers as a place to escape and welcome all customers no matter their condition. To provide a space for the moms who need a ear and the kids who can't get their hair done the ability to make it possible.
