Desiree Gates

Hi there! My name is Desiree Gates, Desi for short, and I have been attending the Paul Mitchell Schools Sacramento, Ca cosmetology program. I am a true Northern California poppy and extremely proud of it!

Making the decision to pursue my dreams and nourish my creativity, attending Paul Mitchell has been one of the best decisions of 2023. I have worked with so many talented teachers and hairstylists. Opportunities I have been awarded include: participation in hair and make up for multiple fashion shows, charity events and fundraisers (Be Nice Or Else! Club), and networking through various programs and clubs within the school such as Student Council.

I am in love with all things color, curly, straight, natural, and just fabulous! I've always had an interest in playing with hair from the time of being a mere tween and made the decision to begin my professional hair journey. From my short time at school, I have been able to express and explore my creativity through hair coloring, color corrections, cutting, and styling.

I am passionate about health and beauty with an emphasis on hair. I believe healthy hair starts within and shines outward. My vision for my professional future is to help as many beautiful or handsome men and women achieve their hair care goals, desires, and needs.

I believe having good hair is a necessity, arguably more important than your morning coffee! Look and feel good with me! xoxo
