Desiree Hernandez

Hey everyone! My name is Desi Hernandez. I am 25 years old from Upstate NY.  I’ve loved to do hair since i started hair school at age 15 in the 11th grade. I started cutting and coloring family’s hair at the early age of 12 after shadowing and learning from a long time family friend who is a barber. I love coloring hair, but my real passion is cutting and styling hair. After managing a corporate salon for a couple years i wanted to really better myself as a stylist. I became an apprentice at a very reputable salon in my city for 2 years and i completed their cutting and styling program. I was taught straight razor cutting with the bumble and bumble technique, along with Oribe cutting and styling techniques. I  have had the pleasure of learning from the best this industry has to offer. I am wanting to educate for a brand that i feel very passionate about. My ultimate dream is to work on set and backstage at fashion shows doing hair for models and celebrities. I love fast paced environments where i have to use my skills and think in a quick manner, i feel as though i learn more that way.
