About me
Hi, I am Destiny K.!
I am a driven cosmetology student and aspiring hair practitioner with a passion for creating confidence, beauty, and meaningful connections. My journey into cosmetology is rooted in both personal growth and professional experience. Previously, I worked as a Family Stabilization Specialist, where I learned the value of patience, empathy, and the power of supporting others through life’s challenges. Simultaneously, I honed my craft as a braid artist, building hands-on experience and cultivating creativity, precision, and client relationships.
Recognizing my desire to make a deeper impact through beauty, I made the calculated decision to transition fully into cosmetology. Today, I am a full time cosmetology student, focused on developing my skills as a stylist while uplifting both clients and my community through my work.
As a future hair practitioner, I aspire to bring confidence, self-expression, and empowerment to every client I serve, while striving to be a leader and role model in the beauty industry. My unique background equips me with a blend of compassion, creativity, and professionalism . I am eager to continue building on my purpose and positively impacting my community.

I believe cosmetology school is the perfect place to expound on my current beauty knowledge. It is the place to grow into the hair practitioner, mentor and community partner I want to be.
My journey in the beauty industry is driven by a mission to redefine hair care as a form of self-love and personal empowerment. I've transitioned from being "just a braider" to an advocate who understands that beauty and wellness are deeply interconnected.
My goal is to not only create stunning hairstyles but to help clients heal, grow, and feel confident in their own skin. Through strategic hair care plans and innovative styling techniques, I aim to make a meaningful impact in my community. I want to gain mentorship, exposure, and insight into the business side of cosmetology, while developing the skills to lead and inspire others. Cosmetology school represents a chance to take my passion to the next level. To translate my training and experiences into meaningful impact for my clients, peers, and community. I aim to use the knowledge, connections, and confidence I gain to uplift others, share my craft, and build a career rooted in purpose and leadership.
