Blurred the barber

Going to barbering school has been such a long time dream it hardly feels real, yet today. I am even more excited because I will have the privilege to be the first in my family with further education.  The time is finally here and though there are lots of fades, styles and techniques to master, I am committed to putting in the time and effort it takes.Remember years ago, struggling to find someone who would give me a decent haircut in our part of town due to the thickness of ethnic hair.  We would have to travel 30 minutes there and another 30 minutes back, but it was all worth it because that barber gave fantastic fades!  Watching carefully every time as he cut my hair and then watching barbering videos in my spare time. 

Then, my brave brother and a few friends allowed me to practice a few cuts on them and that is how I fell in love with the trade.  My hope is to facilitate this service in areas where there is not enough. At this time, I can only imagine that our plans of owning a barbershop are closer to reality as we leave the school with confidence in our abilities.
