Makeup reveals the beauty within

Until the age of fourteen, I’d never thought about makeup, especially not in a professional sense. I guess I thought that’s just how people looked. But once I found out the secrets of makeup, like how much fun it is, I instantly fell in love with the beauty of it. My obsession started out like all other addictions: slow and harmless. I would follow a makeup account on social media; then, I would complement other people's makeup. After a little while, I would sneak a look at my sister’s makeup pallets and began researching the different makeup uses and types for every day, stage, and film. Then it escalated to secretly doing my makeup in the middle of the night in the confines of my bedroom. After a year of this exponential growth of fascination, I began openly loving beauty and cosmetics.
The social media accounts that I followed in the beginning strongly influence the makeup that I do to this day. From techniques to tips and tricks, these accounts and posts have taught me just about everything I know up to this point. Because of this relationship with the internet, I learned a few things incorrectly, blindly trusting the internet to give me accurate information. To correct this misinformation and to widen my knowledge and experience, I decided to pursue a school of makeup rather than go directly into my career.
I belive that makeup reveals the beauty inside. I want to help those who dont see this beauty themselves.
