I do more so you can do less

My name is Emely Sanchez, I'd like to think of myself as someone who is very creative and loves to learn. In the past years since becoming a hairstylist I have learned that growth never stops, there are no limits to how much someone can learn. There have been many challenges in my career but I take them with a grain of salt and keep moving forward, never giving up even though it can be overwhelming. My career started out at Haircutter from there I always strived for more, so I relocated to Salon Cielo. While working at Haircutter I took many classes to try to impove my skills and continued to do so at my next location. Once, I started taking classes at Salon Cielo I quickly realized I saw familiar faces and It wasn't old coworkers, it was educators I had in the past taking the class with me. With that I worked extra hard keeping in mind that I am only moving forward from here. Vidal Sassoon was my next chapter and although there were many ups and downs at Sassoon in Washinton DC, I stayed in hopes to learn from the best and become the best. Shortly after leaving Sasssoon, I worked at a much smaller business where I then started educating apprentices. Now I strongly believe I am meant to be an educator and spread my knowledge to others, because what better way to learn then to teach.

I am here because I want to expand my career and become an educator. My end goal has always been to become an excellent teacher to help others grow the way I have. Although I haven't had a mentor myself, I would love to see the youth of this industry grow and feel comfortable doing so. I want to be a motivator and inspire others, letting them know they can do it too. While growing on social media and making content can be difficult theres always space for many of us to grow.
