From my childhood I've always been an extremely artistic and detail-oriented person with a desire to see people. I have very vivid memories of my mom’s hair transformations over the years, and going with her to the salon was always an exciting experience for me. I remember when she got a perm, and I cried when she came home with a pixie cut after she had only long hair before in my memory. It wasn’t until we had to shave her head when she was diagnosed with breast cancer that I understood how much we value our hair. She’s been in remission for over seven years now 🙌🏼

When I twenty-five, I felt a stirring in me for something new. Having not gone to college yet, I yearned to jump in to a school environment and learn. I chose hair because it's something I knew I could do anywhere, and also be an outlet to be creative and connect with people. Turns out, it's been a part of me for as long as I can remember and it wasn't something I even recognized in me! The year of 2020 made me realize that I could use this industry as a listener so many people crave in tough seasons. I’m here to encourage others, and as a way to express my creativity.
