Keep clapping for others until it’s your turn

Hi, my name is Erika. I'm an Esthetician and Professional Makeup Artist. I started my career in the beauty industry as a Sephora Beauty Advisor. My interest in skin care sparked when I was a teenager going through puberty and hormonal acne. I was struggling with stage 3 acne and wasnt feeling confident in my own skin. I knew it was hereditary but just couldn't find what triggered it. After trials and errors of home remedies and over the counter cleansers, I decided to get treated by a Dermatologist. I was 16 when I started my treatment, and after 2 years of derm visits it was finally where I wanted it to be. The process was long but rewarding. During each consultation, I noticed a lack of representation of women in my area. The rest is history. I like to think that your appearance is always going to be your first impression on others. If you take care of yourself first, people are going to trust you to take care of them.

I'm here now because I want to be the person I needed when I was first going through my journey. I was young and didn't have the support to process those thoughts at the time, and would love to be that raindrop in a sea full of estheticians that really cares about their clients'.
