Began in the industry at 16 as a receptionist and shampoo assistant. Through beauty school I was mentored at the salon which I was working, and after graduating I became a stylist there. This was a big name nationwide corporation and I was recognized as their fastest growing stylist.
I ended up moving on to another corporate opportunity which fit my life better at the time, about 3 years after being licensed. I learned so much from the education provided as well as more amazing coworkers. I once again became a top 5 producer for their company.
After covid and some corporate changes, I made a huge decision to leave my salon after 11 years and try for the first time working in a private salon. It was a great experience to learn at a smaller scale how things work, and to be a part of the process, collaborating improvements to the business, as well as being part of their education team, and again become a top performer.
Ultimately, a year and a half later, I decided to open my own LLC and rent a chair at another salon. This has been an interesting experience, but not very different than what I had expected. New opportunities are unfolding as I've been offered to educate the apprentices of the salon.

Education is my passion, and though I've had opportunities to educate at the salons I've worked at, I'd love the opportunity to teach beyond my own team.
