Erika Stevens

Hello! My name is Erika Stevens, I'm 22 years old and I'm currently attending Paul Mitchell School of Austin for my Cosmetology License. I think I've always been passionate about all things beauty and hair since I was little, but the idea of it being my career began around middle school when I started helping my friends with their hair for events like prom and things like that. I loved helping out and getting to be creative with it. Then after high school, initially I took the more traditional route and attended university, I found myself lacking in motivation and passion and I wasn't sure where my life was supposed to be going. I then finally decided to do something that I knew and was 100% sure I was gonna love and be happy doing as a career. So I scheduled a campus tour at Paul Mitchell of Austin before Covid happened and saw this exciting new environment that I instantly envisioned myself in.
Fast forward to now I have 2 months left of school before I obtain my license and I can't imagine myself doing anything other than what I do now as a student and I couldn't be more eager to continue to grow into the next chapter in my hair journey.
